Aberdeen, Scotland 10/10/19

I would like to start by saying it is not easy to get to Aberdeen. The nearest airport I could find a ticket to was Edinburgh which is approximately four and half hours by bus, and requires several transfers. On the bright side I did get to see a lot of the coast this way. Everyone drives on the left side of the road in Scotland, and as a result they also go to the left when trying to walk past you on the side walk. This lead to me looking the wrong way before crossing the street as well as running into people often. The city of Aberdeen is relatively quiet and has a lot of nature. Benji and I walked through the large park following the river to the coast. The Aberdeen beach is gorgeous. The weather is cold and the wind is harsh but it is still an amazing experience to head to the beach bundled up in a turtle neck sweater and skip some rocks. The architecture of Aberdeen is castle-esk. The majority of buildings are made of large grey stones, and gave off a medieval appearance. There is a large amount of night life in Scotland, with a variety of clubs as well as bars. A lot of the pubs were actually once large old stone churches that were abandoned and repurposed as pubs. During my time in Scotland I tried fish and chips as well as haggis, lamb intestines, two traditional meals of Scotland.
